Henrique Cartaxo is a bachelor of Social Communication and Medialogy (Unicamp, Brazil) and a Prague Film School (Czech Republic) year program graduate. As a film and video editor, he has worked professionally with music videos, documentaries, narrative, Web and TV Series and Dance films.
In 2010 he edited the short-film O Argentino (The Argentinian), directed by Diego da Costa, winner of the Paulinia Film Festival in the categories of regional sort film and audience favorite short film.
In 2012, still in the Czech Republic, he edited the short film Evicko, by turkish director Ziya Demiral, awarded in Sinepark Film Festival as Best Short Film and Best Drama and a part of the Hisar Short Film Selection 2013.
In 2013, he edited the dance film Modo Ave, by the awarded director Beto Brant. Between 2013 and 2014, he worked as a video editor and screenwriter for TV Folha, a video journalism show aired in TV Cultura, which was awarded as the Best Contribution to Telejournalism in the ESSO award 2013.
In 2104, was assistant editor to Manga Campion in the feature film Prova de Coragem (proof of courage, work in progress), directed by Roberto Gervitz. Edited Ziya Demirel’s short film Salı, which is in official selection and competiton in the 68th Festival de Cannes.

In documentary, his latest works are: Lampião da Esquina, by Livia Perez, which premiered in the It's All True Festival and A Plebe É Rude, by Diego da Costa, to premiere in In-Edit Film Festival in 2017. As the editor of No Kings, by Emilia Mello, took part in the Dok Incubator workshop sessions 2 and 3 in Slovakia and Sweden in 2017. Currently editing documentary "Editor by Editor", by Juliana Kase and editing/co-directing with André Menezes the dance documentary "Obrigado Por Vir".
